Brand Identity and Graphic Design

The Brief:

To enhance Where You At's existing brand, which includes their logo, colours, icons and brand mascot and develop the assets into an all encompassing brand, complete with brand guidelines outlining the rules and usage of elements within the brand.

Where You At Brand Bible

As part of the Where You At project, I developed a cohesive visual language that unifies the brand's identity. Drawing inspiration from their logo, I used the W and A to create directional shapes, I incorporated these elements into the overall design aesthetic. Gradients using the brand colors were applied to create dynamic layouts and designs, reflecting the app's functionality in challenging signal environments within clubs.

I redesigned the icons to ensure consistency while maintaining their distinctive neon pink glow, which resonates well with the club atmosphere where the app is primarily used. Additionally, I refined the fonts to align with the feel and values of Where You At.

The brand caters to two distinct audiences: app users and venue owners. For app users, the visual language is playful, featuring the giraffe mascot and prominently showcasing directional shapes and vibrant colors. In contrast, the visual communication for venue owners is more serious, emphasizing statistics and data, with the directional shapes and gradients used more subtly to complement the information presented.
